Apple has outed its end-of-the-year lists with the best iPhone apps and best iPad apps of 2010 listed with free, paid and top grossing app lists. The best paid iPhone apps top 10 is filled by games with Angry Birds on top followed by Doodle Jump and Skee-Ball. Former favorite Plants Vs Zombies is down at number 9 but has been hanging around for ages. In the best free iPhone apps category, Facebook tops the list with Angry Birds Lite coming in at number 2.
The iPhone app that made the most money this year is American baseball info app MLB.com At Bat 2010 which ran Angry Birds a close second with Call of Duty: Zombies coming in third.
On iPad, Apple’s Pages is bost the number 1 paid iPad app and the highest grossing with Numbers and Keynote also joining it in the cashcow chart. Apple also, unsurprisingly tops the top free iPad apps chart with iBooks sitting proudly at the summit.
