Apple’s iCloud headquarters is all but confirmed following this morning’s reveal on Google Earth. The company’s mysterious $1b data center in North Carolina has pulled back the blurry curtain and now renders in crisp satellite detail. In addition to the North Carolina house of tech, Apple has reportedly paid $4.5m for the icloud.com domain, now secured until 2018.

Here’s an intriguing rumour for these economically tough times: the latest whisper is that Apple will bundle iCloud free as part of Mac OS X Lion.
AppleInsider suggests we’ll see Lion sold through the Mac App Store and priced at the same level as the OS X Snow Leopard upgrade was when it appeared in 2009. That would put the price for Mac OS X Lion at around £25. While we’d love to see such a delightful deal outed by Apple at WWDC on Monday, we fear that it’s wishful thinking.

Apple has already told us what we’ll be getting at WWDC with most reports focusing on the outing of iCloud. But it looks like the iOS 5 announcement will also include some major changes and Twitter integration is topping the list.
Techcrunch reports that Twitter will launch its own photo sharing service in time for Apple to reveal integration with iOS 5 but John Gruber at Daring Fireball has gone further, implying that we’ll see Twitter baked into the next iOS update in multiple ways…

A fresh new render of the upcoming Apple iPhone 5 has surfaced this afternoon, compliments of French website nowhereelse.fr. Highlighting the iPhone 5 are three enhancements we’ve showcased in our previous coverage, but nonetheless important: larger display, no home button and a better camera. After yesterday’s news the iPhone 5 is still on track for a summer 2011 release, it seems the buzz is in full swing.
Apple’s WWDC date looks like it’s been set. A mysterious listing for a “corporate meeting” has been added for June 5 until June 9 at San Francisco’s Moscone West, the usual home for Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference. The convention center shows the days blocked out for an unnamed meeting labeled “convention/tradeshow”.
WWDC usually takes place in June and the calendar for the second half of June shows Moscone is booked out for other events. Those dates do look right but the big questions: what will iPhone 5 look like? And will we see Mac OS X Lion in full at WWDC?
