In an internal email that’s slipped out onto the web, Microsoft mobile head honcho Andy Lees urges Microsofties to make Windows Phone 7 apps in their “spare time”. Could that 900,000-strong army of internal Windows Phone 7 owners be the key to getting a killer library of apps on the virtual shelves by launch day?

Windows Phone 7 has been hailed variously as the iPhone killer, as having ‘out-Appled’ Apple, and has been described as being “like an iPhone from the future”. I am not convinced.
