We’ve seen less subtle ways of detecting Wi-Fi, but this could be genuinely useful. If you’re the sort to work out and about, but don’t fancy hauling a laptop from your backpack just to scope the Wi-Fi hotspots you’re entering, check this out. It’s a wristwatch that’ll scan for networks and tell you which are free. It’ll also tell the time, packs a calendar, and is anti-static, shock proof and water resistant to 100 metres.

New Glofiish swim by
Smartphone maker E-Ten has just expanded its Glofiish range with a brace of new models. Dubbed the M810 and M750, both models are quad-band handsets with EDGE and Wi-Fi (the M810 also sports HSDPA for broadband-speed 3G), not to mention GPS.
Both also come with 2.8-inch screens, plus full slide-out QWERTY keyboards. There’s the obligatory camera too, although it’s a pretty unremarkable-sounding 2-megapixel jobbie.
According to E-Ten both models should be available within the next few weeks, although we don’t know how much they’ll cost yet.
Out April/May | £TBC

iPhone 2.0 rumours gather pace
Okay, so it’s pretty much a given that a new version of the iPhone is coming, it’s coming pretty soon and it’s going to have 3G. We can be pretty confident about those things.
But what else can we expect from iPhone 2.0? Well, as usual the Internet is buzzing with rumours and speculation. Some reckon we’re going to see OLED screens and a skinnier body.
