Android 15, iPhone love. Sega has just announced that its flagship sports title Virtua Tennis will be heading to Android, with a first preview next week at CES in Las Vegas. It’s been designed with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play’s controls in mind, and been optimized for phones with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, typically used by both Sony Ericsson and HTC.

virtua_tennisMicrosoft’s Project Natal and Sony’s Motion Controller are both gearing up for their respective console launches, expected in 2010. Developers are just now getting their mitts on the first dev kits and at this early stage there are few going spare, but it sounds like Sega’s MD for European development, Gary Dunn, wants one rather badly. In a recent interview, Dunn stated, “Both systems offer us so many opportunities to do great things with videogames. I immediately now want to make another Virtua Tennis.”
