The company has listed the Streak 5 as “no longer available” and wished the pint-sized slate a formal goodbye message on its website. The Dell tablet portfolio now consists of the Dell Streak 7 and the Inspiron duo, commonly referred to as the “convertible tablet”. Discontinuing the Streak 5 was a long time in the making. Following several promotional bundles which deeply discounted the tablet with the purchase of a new Dell desktop or laptop, the stockpiles finally ran dry.

We know its iPad 2 day but if you’re rocking a Kindle, here’s a bit of good news: the Kindle is getting access to 50,000 Audible audiobooks for direct download via WiFi.

Sure it’s not 3G but it’s a good move and a big improvement over USB sideloading which we were stuck with before. Audible subscriptions are great if you have a long commute and being able to just carry the Kindle could come in very handy.
