Your smartphone or tablet could be getting a power boost in the first quarter of next year, with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual core processor on its way. “We’ll be seeing 1.5GHz processors coming to commercial devices by the first quarter of 2011”, said Qualcomm senior VP for Europe, Enrico Salvatore. The 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor will be appearing in various LG, Samsung, HTC devices and others. It’s targeted at tablet devices, but will be headed into smartphones too.

Google, HTC (who designed the hardware) and Qualcomm, the makers of the Google Nexus One’s Snapdragon chip, are all members of the Open Screen Project, the group pushing to bring Flash to more devices.
In the video above Adobe’s Adrian Ludgwig demonstrates Flash Player 10.1 on the Google Nexus One and delivers oodles of praise for Google Android and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor. He also reveals that Abobe’s been working with the flash game sites and the video shows a clip of a shooter game on Miniclip.com.
The clip also shows the Google Nexus One navigating to National Geographic site with Flash navigation, a seriously annoying ad for dog food and an education video clip about silk making in Italy.
Over 80% of the video on the web is delivered using Flash and Abode’s makes sure in the clip to hammer home it’s point that Android handsets like Flash and the iPhone doesn’t. The Flash 10.1 update will pushed to Google Nexus One later in 2010.
