Apple has just announced iPad 2 UK pricing for launch on Friday at 5pm, and to our surprise it’s actually lower than the original iPad’s launch price of £429 for the base model. The Wi-Fi only 16GB iPad 2 will cost £399 with tax factored in, with the 32GB and 64GB models coming in at £479 and £559 respectively. As before, nabbing a model with 3G and GPS built in will set you back an extra £100.
Frankly, that’s all the excuse you need to buy a Smart Cover with your iPad 2. If you caught our review last week, you’ll know we were completely smitten with both the slate and the magnetic cover, which starts at £35. Will you be queuing up come Friday though?
