Here’s some good news if you’re a Sky subscriber: Sky is launching a new service called Sky Go which will give you access to 30 channels on a range of devices including the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, PCs and Macs.

To be honest Xbox Live TV subscription rumours are one of those hardy tech perennials but they’ve raised their pretty heads again and negotiations sound fairly advanced. The good folk at Reuters have rootled out a Microsoft source who says an Xbox TV subscription service is coming to Xbox Live and Xbox 360. The story says discussions with ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS, ESPN and CNN as well as premium channels like HBO are in the works. The mention of Fox is intriguing from a UK perspective – Sky Player Xbox 360 has been around for a while and we’re already wondering, will we get an Xbox Live TV subscription service in the UK? We’ll be chasing this like a dog with after a bone covered in steak carried by a postman.
Sky Player on Xbox 360 is to support the Kinect motion sensor, which should mean that shaking your fist at the TV will at last have some effect on what is on screen. Progress!
Sky Sports News is set to disappear from Freeview and appear exclusively on pay TV services.
