PS3 firmware update brings cloud storage and more

It’s new PS3 firmware update time. Grab the PS3 firmware v3.60 update and rock a PlayStation Plus subscription and you’ll be able to kick your saved games up into the cloud.

If you don’t have PlayStation Plus, you’ll still get the new option to change the amount of time the system takes to tell your DualShock and Sixaxis controllers shutdown. Sony barring ‘counterfeit’ PS3 controllers

PSP Plus lets you play PSP games with your PS3 controller, eventually

Sony is bringing Sixaxis and Dual Shock 3 compatibility to the PSP, albeit in a very long-winded way. The new PSP Plus system announced at TGS 2008 will let you drop the PSP’s dodgy analogue button thing in favour of proper console controls.
