I love Google. I might not own an Android phone, but I can’t get enough of their Gmail service, fall back on Google Docs constantly and am still a big fan of Google Reader, despite Twitter now being my main source for breaking news and comment.

But there’s a problem: Google is making me stupid. I’ve stopped thinking, or trying to work simple stuff out without resorting to the Big G’s ever improving search engine. Mountain View is offering me too much information and it’s becoming an issue. So, short of unplugging the internet, what can we do?

One of the Bing bait terms used by Google in its sting operation to catch the Microsoft search engine copying results has been whipped up into a domain name by a Google employee, and cheekily redirected to Google’s jobs page.

The Google/Bing search controversy is still bubbling along nicely with Google’s Matt Cutts taking to his blog to further poke Microsoft about what Google claims is its policy of baking info from Google search results into its process. After being rather nice about Bing and the crew that works there, Cutts gets to the meat of the issue saying that he is surprised with how vehemently Microsoft has denied using any Google info and showing a raft of screenshots to prove his point…
