The ongoing battle between Apple and Samsung which recently saw the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 banned from sale in the EU has taken another interesting twist. Dutch title, Webwereld.nl, claims Apple submitted an image that incorrectly compares the iPad 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 as part of the lawsuit.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is out in the UK today but if you’re angling for a slighter smaller slate, news of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has dropped today too.

Samsung Galaxy Tab launch not delayed in the land down underYesterday media reports suggested Apple’s lawsuit against Samsung would delay the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch in Australia. Today Samsung has come forward to deny these claims. According to the manufacturer, the reports were premature and hold no merit.

Galaxy Tab sales in the land down under will begin later this month. Here’s the official word from Kevin Jeong, the company’s spokesman, “the Galaxy Tab 10.1 model for the Australian market will be launched in August as planned”. Read more

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is officially touching down in the UK on August 4 but if you want to jump the queue and nab the Wi-Fi only model early, you can get it the day before from PC World. The store, along with its fellow Dixons-owned stablemate Currys, has an exclusive on the Wi-Fi only model will have stock ready to sell from 5pm on August 3.

Reg Hardware reports that the PC World store on London’s Tottenham Court Road will have its stash of new Samsung slates ready then and we’d expect others stores to be similarly prepared.
