Final Fantasy XIII could be even further delayed, a Square Enix spokesperson has admitted. The game had already been pushed back out of 2009. But now, answering questions from Japanese financial reporters, a Square Enix representative refused to confirm that the game would even ship in Japan before the end of the financial year.

Mass Effect 2 received an unexpected twist earlier in the year when a teaser video strongly implied that the gender-swapping series star, Commander Shepard, was ‘Killed in Action’. That surprising revelation sent a shockwave through the Mass Effect community, who were rightly bemused by their hero being ignominiously dispatched in the space (no pun intended) between the two main games.
