Grand Theft Auto 5. It’s coming. No release date, no platforms, just a short tease of what to expect: Rockstar was good to its word and released the trailer right on the dot at 4pm. As a source reported last week, Grand Theft Auto 5 does indeed return to the fictional Los Angeles of 2004 hit Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with the Vinewood letters aping the Hollywood sign visible in the 90 second apéritif.
Grand Theft Auto 3 in your pocket? Yes please. Rockstar is releasing the game on iPhone and Android to celebrate the game’s tenth anniversary.
Rockstar has made Red Dead Redemption the game that just keeps giving. It’s confirmed that a new batch of free Red Dead Redemption DLC will mosey onto Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network in September.
The Myths and Mavericks bonus pack will feature fan-favourite multiplayer characters like Landon Ricketts (that’s the grizzled guy in the picture above) and add new multiplayer locations to Death Match, Grab The Bag and Gang matches as well as other online modes. How does Rockstar Films sound to you? It seems the creators of Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption and LA Noire have been toying with the idea of making movies again.
Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, filed for the “Rockstar Films” trademark in December 2010 and it was confirmed on June 14. It gives firm the go-ahead to release animated and live action movies but will it?

Yes, we know Grand Theft Auto 5 has been rattling around the rumour mill for ages now but it’s back on the cards again. The chatter says it’ll be released in 2012, development is “well under way” and that “it’s the big one”.

We really like LA Noire (see our LA Noire review to find out why) but an overheating PS3? Not so much. The issue has been heating up (pun intended) this week with claims that the game has been making the console overheat or shutdown.
First, Rockstar blamed PS3 Firmware 3.61 then Sony blamed LA Noire. Now the pair have got together to put out a joint statement that says it’s neither LA Noire nor the PS3 firmware update behind the issue. Hmmm…
