Rock Band 2 is heading to the Wii here in Blighty next month. The hyped up sequel has been kicking it on Ninty’s hub for months across the pond, but at last it’s heading our way. Read on to find out all the tune you’ll be rocking out to.
Lips is a fantastic sing-em-up, and the included wireless microphones are one of its biggest selling points, but now Microsoft and MTV Games have teamed up to patch Rock Band 2, so it’ll accept warbling through them too!
Apple Corps and MTV/Harmonix are set to collaborate on a videogame based on The Beatles. And from what various online reports of a teleconference are suggesting, the game is not set to simply be either a download pack or expansion for the Rock Band series, but an “experiential progression through and celebration of the music and artistry of The Beatles” – in other words, an all new game.
Activision is aware of and is responding to issues that have been raised by purchasers of Guitar Hero: World Tour’s new drumkit in the US. Forum posters have raised concerns over drum pads not registering both hard and soft hits. Meanwhile, PS3 gamers are complaining that, despite promises to the contrary, it appears the new Guitar Hero and Rock Band peripherals are not fully cross-compatible for their console (while apparently working on the Xbox 360).
Manhunt 2 finally gets its release on October 31, Halloween. So we finally get what the rest of the world has had for ages – a mediocre action-adventure with a hefty dose of cynical controversy on top. But while Manhunt 2 possibly deserved banning – this lot definitely do. And quick!
