The bird, bird, bird is the word. Angry Birds is now available for Windows Phone 7 in two flavors: paid and free. The free version is capped at just a few levels so you’ll need to buy the full version if you plan on feeding your pig killing, bird smashing addiction.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D saves game data to the 3DS cartridge, permanentlyAccording to both Capcom and the instruction manual, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D for the Nintendo 3DS, was never meant for the secondhand market. In the US, video game rental company GameFly has classified the title as “Not Rentable”. Unlike other 3DS titles, Mercenaries 3D saves game data directly to the cartridge, carrying over all skill points and mission scores.

In its 2009 financial results, Capcom revealed that its 56 Resident Evil games (and you thought we were only on Resident Evil 5?!) have sold in total 40 million copies in total. Its Mega Man series came second with 28 million copies sold across 124 games. But what was number three for Capcom?

The new PSP still exists in rumour only (albeit a very convincing one), but it looks like publishers are already getting on board with the renewed focus on downloadable titles. Capcom appears to be the first to commit to it wholesale, promising up to 40 new PSP titles for the upgraded PSN service.
