Resident Evil 5′s launch yesterday saw excited fans on a treasure hunt with a difference through London‘s streets. Capcom, makers of the terrifying zombie action game, asked fans of the series to follow clues to gather well-hidden, highly-realistic body parts from around the capital. The collector of the most parts, Steve Long, a 26-year-old IT consultant, won a trip for two to Africa, where the game is set. Unfortunately, Long wasn’t the only person scooping up the gory trophies. Capcom has now appealed to the public to return one head, two torsos and six limbs that have gone missing.

Resident Evil 5 DLC could be just around the corner: Capcom has inadvertently let slip that there are a load of new multiplayer modes coming to Resident Evil 5 after eagle-eyed PS3 Trophy hunters spotted rewards for a number of other multiplayer modes. These new online game types didn’t quite make it in time for the launch, but can be easily implemented through downloadable extras. Resident Evil 5 DLC? Looks like it was always on the way.

The Blood red Xbox 360 Elite is here! Following the rumours, some more rumours, and an official announcement, Microsoft has ticked another box on our checklist: the limited edition blood red Xbox 360 Elite is coming to Europe. It’ll be available from March 13th – the same day as Resident Evil 5 drops – and should cost the same as a normal Xbox 360 Elite pack.

Microsoft has confirmed once and for all that a special edition, blood red Xbox 360 Elite is coming and that it is indeed part of a new Resident Evil 5 bundle. Although there were numerous rumours of the new hardware leading up to the announcement, Microsoft kept its cool before dropping the details onto Xbox LIVE.

Microsoft could be about to launch a red Xbox 360 Elite console, according to a leaked Toys R Us screenshot. It is speculated that this is a limited edition model to be released in conjunction with Resident Evil 5, suggesting that it might be a delicious crimson hue rather than a sports car red.

Capcom has revealed that it will creating new Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV content for Sony’s PlayStation Home service on PS3. Famitsu has a wad of screenshots showing exclusive Street Fighter VI costumes and Home furniture as well as a Resident Evil 5 themed section for players to visit, modelled on the game’s opening level, though the hordes of flesh eating nasties will be replaced with Diesel-wearing Home users . We’re assuming you can’t headshot them either.
