Qik, the mobile app that lets you to upload video from your phone to the web, has just popped up for the iPhone 3GS at the App Store. Unlike old versions of Qik, this one allows you to pluck video clips straight out of the iPhone 3GS’s Camera Roll and upload them to your Qik account – and apparently it’s the only iPhone 3GS app able to do so.

Makers of live video streaming service Qik have announced that it will be coming to Nokia’s touch screen 5800 XpressMusic shortly – but contrary to earlier rumours, it won’t be preloaded onto the device.
We’ve a feeling this won’t be available on the App Store any time soon, since Apple hasn’t released its own video recorder for the iPhone yet. Lucky then, that Qik has gone the ‘unofficial’ route, releasing its video streaming software to hacked iPhones through Installer.app.
Owners of rival smartphones will be scoffing, since they’ve had QIK for months, but now owners of Apple’s handset will soon be able to beam live video to the internet from their mobiles.
