Contrary to optimistic rumours, it looks like PS2 games won’t be coming to the PlayStation Network Store after all. It was rumoured the new service would be announced at E3 to go live at a later date, but according to Sony, that ain’t gonna happen!

Last week we reported that the PSP was holding onto the number one slot in hardware sales in Japan, by quite a margin. Now last week’s release of Metal Gear Solid 4 means both the PSP and PS3 are way ahead in the Land of The Rising Sun.
