Yesterday, Google’s CEO Larry Page made an appearance at the Google Zeitgeist event in London with some ungainly lump of plastic clinging to the side of his head. It was of course Google Glass, the company’s oddball new project that’s trying to mix Android, AR and your eyewear into one seamless whole.

Project Glass, the rumoured augmented reality glasses experiment from Google, has been publicly revealed by the company for the first time. A demo of the concept and what it may be capable of in the future was published last night, but this isn’t some far-off vision: previous reports have said Google intends to release the glasses before the end of the year.
