Microsoft wasted absolutely no time in bringing Windows 7 to full readiness, no doubt hoping to get the unfortunate Vista situation behind it as soon as possible. It has just confirmed official release dates and prices, and has shown off the finalised Windows 7 packaging, so you know what to look out for this October. What’s more, Microsoft has a number of Windows 7 deals to make the transition that bit more appealing.
One of our most hotly-anticipated new handsets, the Nokia N97 has been slated for release in ‘early 2009′ but no firm date has been given. If Play.com’s pre-orders are to be believed however, you will be able to get you hands on one at the end of March.
We’ve had a hands-on with the Sony Vaio P already, and soon you’ll be able to do the same – it’s just been made available for pre-order in the UK.

T-Mobile G1 Android phone… it’s too late. The phone operator has announced that pre-order sales for the G1 Android handset have been three times greater than expected and it won’t promise to ship any more before the official US launch on 22nd October.
