Think Apple has the only wirelessly streaming game in town? Fear not my Nokia loving friends, Beta Labs has come to the rescue with its latest creation, Nokia Play To beta. The free software, available now, allows wireless streaming of all your media: photos, video and even music.

In a surprise twist this afternoon, Sony has updated investors with revised estimates ahead of its official earnings report scheduled for Thursday. The company now expects to post a net loss of 260 billion yen (£1.98b), a far cry from its net profit forecast of 70 billion yen (£531m) for 2010 to 2011. Now, for the first time, we can put a price tag on the PSN outage which compromised millions of our identities.
As Epic’s Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta came to a close this weekend, the months leading up to the game’s September release will only become more difficult. Today, Epic confirmed over 1.29 million users played the beta and more than one million pre-ordered the game. This news makes Gears of War 3 the fastest title to reach one million pre-orders on the Xbox 360.

Playstation owners once laughed at the thought of paying yearly for a Xbox Live Gold subscription. Today, after almost three weeks without the PSN, it appears PlayStation 3 owners are trading in their consoles for Xbox 360s at record pace. One major retailer in the UK even reported a 200 percent increase in PS3 trade-ins.
With more than 100m angry Playstation owners looking for answers, Sony has reportedly located the one of the two parties responsible for its massive PSN security breach. Allegedly, the Anonymous hacking group began a denial-of-service (DoS) attack on Sony’s network at the same time a second, possibly unrelated party, intruded its network and took control of millions of users data. The blame game has officially begun, anyone care to guess who’s next in line?
By way of Sony’s official Playstation Blog, the company confirmed its April 17 network breach has compromised nearly 77 million PSN accounts. Packed within the accounts is hoards of personal information, most importantly credit cards. As a courtesy, Sony is recommending we review our account statements and monitor our credit reports.
