Google has gone public with its anger towards Microsoft, Apple and Oracle in the ongoing patent battle which it claims is all about making Android phones more expensive. The attack follows the purchase of a cache of patents from Nortel, the bankrupt Canadian telecoms giant, by a consortium including Microsoft, Apple, Sony and RIM, a move which left Google out in the cold.
In a post on the company’s official blog, Google’s chief legal officer, David Drummond, accused its rivals of attempting to impose a “tax” on Android devices.
