Samsung and LG both announced tablets at MWC 2011 last week. Samsung broadened the range of the Galaxy Tab with the Galaxy Tab 10.1, whereas LG’s first tablet, the LG Optimus Pad came loaded with 3D for the early adopter. Both come running Android Honeycomb. In a game of who’s the best specced, does the LG Optimus Pad floor the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, or will it be the other way around?
The date range for the release of the LG Optimus 3D dropped at the beginning of this week (some sources are saying April, some are saying May) and now there’s a placeholder price for the device too, and we must say, even with the consideration that this is the first glasses-free 3D smartphone: it’s not pretty.
The device is now available for pre-order on Expansys, and while we’d like to say that’s a solid pricing, we can’t. Prices often change from the initial listing. At the moment though, the LG Optimus 3D will set you back a whopping £515 Sim free. That’s a fiver more than an 8GB iPhone 4.

LG has revealed that its two flagship devices for MWC 2011, the LG Optimus 3D and the LG Optimus Pad, will be hitting Europe in just a few months.
The LG Optimus 3D will be hitting Europe in May, and the LG Optimus Pad will be hitting Europe a month earlier, in April. There are no US dates yet, and pricing has yet to be revealed, but we’ll keep you updated here.
