An Opera Mini iPhone app is to be demoed at Mobile World Congress next week, the Norwegian web browsing stalwart has revealed. Apple may not plan on letting Safari rivals onto the App Store anytime soon, but in just a few days, we’re going to find out what we’re missing out on.

Firefox Mobile looks like it’ll finally be released for Windows Mobile next week, according to internal documents.
Android owners have their first alternative mobile browser, with today’s release of Opera Mini 4.2. It’s the next-generation of Opera’s ultra-fast web-viewer, and the first 3rd party option for Google’s OS.
In a not-very-surprising piece of news, Apple has decided not to allow an iPhone-friendly version of the Opera Mini web browser to be made available on the iTunes App Store.
