An updated Samsung Omnia 16GB has sprung out of another Samsung leak ahead of Mobile World Congress this month, along with a full spec sheet, warts and all! Get the Samsung Omnia 16GB details after the jump.
Samsung is reportedly pouring a huge amount of resources into developing a new handset running on Google’s Android OS, with the goal of launching the device in the second quarter of 2009.
The as-yet-unnamed phone will reportedly be a variant of the Omnia and Instinct phones, which means we can expect a device dominated by a large touchscreen, with very few physical buttons. It’ll be sleeker in shape than the Omnia, however, which should be music to the ears of those who found the T-Mobile G1 a little on the ugly side.
Samsung’s Omnia is the company’s flagship all-in-one phone, packing in Windows Mobile, a 5 megapixel camera, tasty multimedia abilities and business skills to wow even the the most technophobic executives. We’ve got hold of one, wrenched it from its packaging and taken it for a spin so you can get a close-up look yourself. Come and take a peep!
