Last week, we reported on the bleak state of 4G in the UK, and how LTE looked set to take off in sub-Saharan Africa first. While a permanent, commercial nationwide network is still a way off, there’s some good news this morning: O2 has turned on an LTE network stretching across the capital today.
The Samsung Galaxy W was one of the more low key announcements at IFA 2011 in Berlin this month, but it is one of those, thankfully, Apple hasn’t had banned. The littler Samsung Galaxy S is on the way to the UK this month, with both Three and now O2 listing it as coming soon.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy W is a 3.7-inch smartphone running Android 2.3. Its size and Super LCD (Rather than superior Super AMOLED Plus) make it a rival to the rather swanky HTC Desire S, though without the same aluminium chassis, it might come in at a lower price at the till.
