The Nexus 7 arrives in the UK this week, but bad news: it’ll be here a day later than expected.
Google posted an update on the Google Play store, letting us know what’s happening. And for us Brits, the Nexus 7 won’t ship until Friday, July 20th. That’s a day later than it should’ve launched. And that’s if you pre-ordered.
But it’s not as simple as that. Going on anecdotal evidence, some lucky blighters have already got theirs.
Darth Vader’s sperm. That’s the best description of Google’s Nexus Q media streamer that I’ve yet seen. It’s an odd, spherical black hole with a tail made of output cables, so the name seems to fit. But the Marmite looks aren’t what’s interesting here; what’s interesting is that it’s come directly out of Google’s HQ. And that it’s a means to throw your Android phone or tablet’s music, games and video onto your TV and through your speakers.

Google’s Nexus Q is a home media streamer with a very strange look. It lets you create social playlists to enjoy with friends, and watch YouTube on the big screen.
Basically, it’s Google’s version of Apple TV, with added social skills.
