That means gamers would be able to more directly promote their levels, send them to friends etc. “Rather than saying, ‘Please search for my level,’ you can just say, ‘Here’s a link’,” said Alex Evans, co-founder of Media Molecule, the development studio behind LittleBigPlanet.

In a wide-ranging interview, Evans has revealed tantalising details about the future of the LittleBigPlanet series, as well as possibly dropping a hint on when to expect Sony to cut the price of its PS3 console.

Users who have put hours and days of work into creating LittleBigPlanet levels have reacted with fury to their “moderation” (read: deletion) by server administrators. Sony/ Media Molecule are apparently deleting user-created levels for their game not just on the basis of rude pictures or sticking a willy on their main character, but also for copyright infringement.

Oh dear. Sony’s desperate last minute attempts to avert LittleBigPlanet controversy are coming back to bite it. While recalling the game in the eleventh hour was supposed to stop players being offended, one group is taking issue with what it perceives as Sony choosing to censor the game on their behalf.
