William Shatner’s Google+ account was suspended on Monday for reasons Google has declined to revealed. Luckily, the Star Trek star has since rematerialised on the site again after speculating on Twitter that it was his habit of saying “hello” to every new follower that got his page vaporised. He posted a Google+ update saying: “I am back plusers. I still do not know what happened but I will refrain from saying hello again for a while just in case. My best, Bill.”

If the comings and goings of Captain Kirk don’t interest you, we’ve tracked down 10 other celebrity Google+ users to follow. Since some have suggested it was doubts around Shatner’s identity that got him shoved off the social network, we’ve applied our ultra-scientific authenticity meter to each one…

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone has revealed what went on when he and fellow co-founder Evan Williams met Mark Zuckerberg. The trio met at the Facebook offices when Mark Zuckerberg was toying with making an offer to buy Twitter but the talks were hampered by a lack of chemistry.

Interviewed by NPR, Stone agreed with host Peter Sagal when he compared the Facebook CEO to a Vulcan and declared that during the meeting “every joke I said landed like a dead fish on the ground”. Read on for the full story and to decide whether Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t have a sense of humour or Biz Stone just isn’t that funny…

There’s been clamouring for a Facebook iPad app ever since Apple launched the original iPad. Facebook seemed to be ignoring the device entirely with Mark Zuckerberg curiously branding it “not mobile” and so not in need of a dedicated app. But it seems that’s about to change.

The New York Times reports that a Facebook iPad app has been in development for more than a year with Zuckerberg taking a personal interest in its production. It claims that the app sees Facebook Chat and Groups completely overhauled for the larger screen.

Last week we showed you “The Poking Inventor” action figure, aka a Mark Zuckerberg figurine, created by the same folks who brought us the Steve Jobs action figure a while back. Now, unsurprisingly, Facebook’s lawyers are trying to shut down the model which lets you pen your own speech bubbles for Zuckerberg, such as: “I invented POKING!”

The company who makes the Poking Inventor action figure, MIC Gadget, has posted a blog on its site about the legal demands it’s been sent, and says: “Everyone likes the social network, but we never thought Mr. Mark Zuckerberg would be unhappy with the friendly toy, until we received an email from a Beijing law firm representing Facebook.Inc.”

Sadly, this means there’ll no longer be a Mark ‘Poking Inventor’ Zuckerberg action figure available to buy.

The makers of the Steve Jobs action figure we saw a while back have added a new model to their product line-up: the Mark Zuckerberg figurine. Or as they like to call it “The Poking Inventor Action Figure”. Zuckerberg’s face is horribly recreated in this terrifyingly out of proportion doll, with a grotesque vaguely smirking face that we wouldn’t want to get within ten feet of. For more cringe-worthy images of the Mark ‘poking-inventor’ Zuckerberg, read on.

Here’s an impressive guest list: Steve Jobs, Google CEO (soon to be Executive Chairman) Eric Schmidt and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg are set to meet President Obama later today in San Francisco. While reports on Steve Jobs’ health abound, he remains scheduled to attend the high-powered summit.

The White House says the tech team are coming together to “discuss our shared goal of promoting American innovation, and discuss our commitment to new investments in research, development, education and clean energy.” So nothing too ambitious then! Obama praised Steve Jobs back in December when he used him in a speech as an example of the American dream.

Think the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa are the only Facebook phones in town? Think again. Mark Zuckerberg just popped up in the middle of the HTC press conference at Mobile World Congress to tell us there are “dozens” of Facebook phones coming this year.
