Sling Media’s officially confirmed what we already knew: SlingPlayer’s heading to Mac and iPhone.

We’d already revealed the web portal that’ll allow users to tune into their Slingbox through a browser, and have already seen SlingPlayer for iPhone in action, but now it’s all been given the official green light from Sling, with word that full Mac compatibility is just months away.

Eye-Fi’s range of wifi-enabled SD cards are a useful (if pricey) way of connecting a digital camera or ‘dumb’ phone camera to the internet or home LAN. Now the company is launching an iPhone app that will do the same thing, without the card.
