The Apollo 13 space mission was one of man’s greatest triumphs. So what better way to pay tribute to it than with a stop-motion video featuring interlocking plastic blocks? Our friends at Toyology have pointed us in the direction of a new viral, celebrating the LEGO City Space Range. As well as the Lego torches we’ve also had a look at this Lego Minigure Cabinet: a 45cm tall storage cabinet, with a torso that opens to reveal perfect Lego minifig sized shelves. The company making the Lego cabinet is also making a Lego suitcase – a child sized wheely job with a Lego minifig in relief on the front. Click through for more photos.
Lego has been transformed from brick form to storage boxes, keychains, advent calendars and more, and now we’ve spotted Lego Torches too. We’ve just heard from the folks at Lego that the next bit of downloadable content for Lego Universe will bring Ninjago to the game. Ninjago is the newest Lego world, and you’ve guessed it, it’s full of ninjas, and a malevolent skull army that’s out to get you.
Some slightly wonky looking Angry Birds Lego cropped up in the middle of last month, but now Lego fanatic Tsang Yiu Keung (aka Chiukeung) has upped the ante with these ridiculously accurate Angry Birds Lego models. If you’re planning on buying the Angry Birds board game, we reckon these models might become invaluable once you’re a pig down and the red bird is stuck behind the sofa.
