We already knew the Pioneer KURO plasma TV line is dead, but Pioneer has so far kept schtum on when exactly it’ll be shuttered. Until now. Read on for all the info on how you can pay your last respects to the world’s most respected TV: the end of the KURO line.
It’s no secret that Pioneer makes the best plasma TVs on the planet: the firm’s Kuro range has been wowing our eyeballs with its awesome black levels and colour reproduction for well over a year now. And now there are two new models promising to deliver blacks that are five times deeper than that!
Pioneer’s Kuro screens have always been renowned for their deep blacks, but the firm’s latest screens are even darker. Pioneer reckons its 2008 Kuros give blacks five times deeper than their predecessors, and even feature sensors to monitor the picture and room lighting at the same time, adjusting on the hop to give the best result possible. Available in 50 and 60 inch versions, expect to pay around £3,000 when they arrive later this year.
