Dell’s plans for a pair of new Android Ice Cream phones have found themselves unceremoniously dumped online, after the PC giant’s smartphone roadmap was leaked. The hilariously-monikered Dell Hancock and the positively 2000-sounding Dell Millennium both promise to pack in the next-gen version of Google’s OS, as well as some truly stellar specs.
Android 2.4, the next iteration of Android after Android Gingerbread 2.3, could be arriving as soon as April. That’s mighty quick, and will probably arrive before most people have received network upgrades to 2.3. Android 2.4 has more surprises in store too: it will not be called Ice Cream, or Ice Cream Sandwich, but will be another version of Android. Confused? Read on.
We’ve spoken of the “Twins” character in the past, and there was some speculation that the Ice Cream van character was a red herring.
