The Samsung Beam slipped quietly into officialdom last night, but this morning we caught up with it in the flesh at Samsung’s Mobile World Congress stand. Last night we knew it as the Samsung I8520. This morning we know it’s also called the Samsung Beam. Read on, and see this purdy little projector phone close up!
Well now. The Samsung I8520 specs and images are out, courtesy of a candid Samsung press pack. But what it fails to mention is this funny little sensor/light bulb on the top of the phone. Is that a pico projector? You’d better believe it.
The Samsung i8520 wasn’t on show at Samsung’s Wave launch just now, and nor was it out on display afterwards. But lo if it’s not sitting here, complete with specs and photos, in a memory stick the company handed out at its press conference.
