As HTC’s first 10-inch slate, the Puccini/Jetstream brings a solid feature set to the table including a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 8-megapixel camera and 4G compatibility. Your HTC Flyer has just been super sized.

The HTC Puccini, the 10in Android Honeycomb tablet that’s yet to make its way out of the Taiwanese tablet maker’s labs, has been unofficially previewed again. PocketNow has got hold of a series of screenshots purportedly from the device that show how HTC plans to take advantage of its 1280×800 resolution.

The HTC Puccini screens show a full size keyboard with a number pad and the pen icon is present and correct which seems to confirm previous suggestions that the Scribe stylus introduced with the HTC Flyer will make a return. PocketNow predicts that the HTC Puccini is two or three months away from launch in the US but we suspect it might arrive even sooner. Sadly there’s no news on a European incarnation yet.

Pics leaked from a factory in China suggest that HTC may be about to release a new HTC Flyer tablet – this time with a 3D camera.

3D is everywhere at the moment, but are HTC wise to be stuffing it in to more devices or is it just a fad? Either way, it looks as though the next HTC Flyer will sport some 3D capabilities whether you need them or not.

Samsung Galaxy Q is not the future of smartphones or tabletsPrepare yourself for a world of smartphone hybrids. Yahoo! Korea is reporting that Samsung is working on the Galaxy Q, a 5.3-inch ‘phone’ which blurs the line between smartphone and tablet. Bridging the gap between the monstrous 4.5-inch Samsung Infuse and the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab might sound logical, but the Galaxy Q is not the future of smartphones.

Could you imaging carting around a 5.3-inch smartphone in your pocket? Unless we’re mistaken, skinny jeans are all the rave these days. The thought of a five-inch smartphone is a far cry from 1999 when the Nokia 8200 reigned supreme as the smallest and lightest Nokia mobile phone on the market. Today, at least according to Samsung, the motto in mobile is ‘bigger is better’.

Android 3.2 Honeycomb update incoming: Get ready for even more Android tabletsThe evolution of Android Honeycomb has been both smooth and quick. After launching version 3.0 on March 27th, it took less than two months for the 3.1 update to hit the Motorola Xoom. The next step, Android Honeycomb 3.2, is expected within a matter of days, but it will not be as major and overhaul as 3.1. Instead, its two biggest features will open the flood gates to even more Android tablets.

HTC Flyer owners, prepare to celebrate. The two blockbuster features included in Android 3.2 Honeycomb are support for Qualcomm processors and 7-inch displays. Gone are the days of manufacturers being limited to Tegra 2 processors and 10.1-inch displays. But does this mean we’ll see Snapdragon versions of existing tablets like the Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1?

HTC to slay the iPad 2 with Honeycomb tablet announcement on June 27th?The big brother to the HTC Flyer may be headed our way on Monday, June 27th. The company has begun sending out invites to a press event in London. An Android Honeycomb tablet, among other devices, is expected to headline the show.

We’ve known for some time HTC was planning a larger tablet. Codenamed Puccini, the soon-to-be announced slate will ship with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and include 4G support for AT&T’s HSPA+ network. Unlike the HTC Flyer which uses the pen/stylus, Pucinni will be all fingers.  The slate is rumored to use a 1280 x 800 pixel display and feature Qualcomm’s MSM8660 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
