Rumours currently bouncing around the internet speculate that HTC is planning to put out a new Touch handset at an event on 6th May. According to reports, the Touch Diamond is a Windows Mobile 6.1 device which supports fast HSDPA downloads and has WiFi and Bluetooth built in. It’s got an eGPS (enhanced Global Positioning System) receiver so it knows where it is and a 2.8in VGA screen. The Qualcomm MSM 7201A processor clocks in at a healthy 528MHz and it comes with 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. There’s also an additional 4GB of Samsung MoviNAND flash storage, so it should have plenty of space for your files.

Sony Ericsson has just rolled out a new budget blower boasting super-speed HSDPA. The G502 is a tasty looking candybar designed for fast Internet on-the-go – you can even surf the web in landscape mode on the 2.2-inch screen. It also supports aGPS and comes packing Google Maps for Mobile. The camera is a paltry 2-megapixel affair though, and it’s “Web 2.0 ready” – whatever that means. Good if you want some fast cheap Internet. Camera fans should probably look elsewhere.
