When LittleBigPlanet makes it highly-anticipated debut on PSP, you’ll be able to play, create and share, just like on the PS3 version. But you’ll be doing it solo. E3 might be over, but the PSP rumours haven’t stopped. Not by a long shot. The latest gossip from PSP land says that the next step for Sony’s PlayStation Network is to open up the handheld platform to “non-game apps”, which would put the console on a collision course with Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch, and go one up on Nintendo’s DSi Ware.

Looks like Nintendo’s had a touch of the Apple iPods with the DSi: this is the third generation no less of the handheld console! And while the improvements may seem slight – bigger, brighter screens and a couple of low-res 0.3-megapixel cameras – the new DSi actually has a lot to offer.

The new PSP still exists in rumour only (albeit a very convincing one), but it looks like publishers are already getting on board with the renewed focus on downloadable titles. Capcom appears to be the first to commit to it wholesale, promising up to 40 new PSP titles for the upgraded PSN service.
Mass Effect is going mobile! The news was broken indirectly via an online survey so Mass Effect publisher, Electronic Arts, has yet to give it the proper unveil. What we do know is that it’ll offer top-down shooter combat and ton of new story delivered via an animated graphic novel.
