If you didn’t believe that Nintendo’s latest update to its DS consoles would result in a sales frenzy, think again. Japanese mag publisher Enterbrain has compiled a list of retail sales which already accounted for 170,000 out of the first batch of 200,000 units by Sunday, two days after the handheld launched. It’s probably fair to assume that it’s completely sold out by now.

Handheld Xbox a pipe dream says Microsoft boss
The UK’s Xbox head honcho, Stephen McGill, has been busy dousing the flames of rumours all day. First he quashed suggestions that Microsoft was working on a new 360 model, and now he’s put an end to hopes that an Xbox handheld is on the way as emphatically as possible: “No, we’re not looking to do a handheld gaming device.”
Nintendo DS Korg DS-10 Synthesizer now available in the UK
In a refreshing case of Britain Gets Something Before America, the Korg DS-10 Synthesizer for the Nintendo DS has just launched this side of the pond.
Developed by AQ Interactive, this clever bit of music creation software packs a complete Korg MS-10 synth inside the handheld device. Wii Music suddenly seems a bit rubbish.
Stat clash: Nintendo DSi vs Sony PSP Slim & Lite vs iPhone 3G

The portable Super Nintendo Entertainment System
After getting nostalgic with the portable SEGA Mega Drive we were left yearning for a bit of retro Nintendo action. This magnificent mod would certainly fill the SNES shaped hole in our lives.
