The next Grand Theft Auto game could implement a “karma” system where “good or bad” actions have a “cumulative impact on how the game unfolds”. That is, if a screenshot of a Play Insights gamer survey posted to a forum is to be believed.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will release “between November 1, 2009 and October 31, 2010″ Michael Pachter, analyst at Wedbush Morgan, has predicted. Pachter said there was a “reasonable expectation” of such a move on the part of Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive. The analyst went on to estimate current sales figures for the Microsoft Xbox 360 downloadable add-on for Grand Theft Auto 4, The Lost And Damned. Pachter estimates The Lost And Damned to have already sold more than one million copies.
