Odds are you rely on Google Maps for travel. Whether you’re vacationing or reside in the city of fog, public transport directions are now live for London. No matter whether you’re using an iOS, BlackBerry or Android smartphone, the directions are free and easy via your Google Maps application.
Google Maps 5.7 for Android is now available for your downloading pleasure in the Android Market. Included in the latest revision is full-blown transit navigation (beta of course), updated directions, an improved search widget, photo viewer for places and one unannounced feature of epic proportions: offline maps mode. Put simply, Google Maps 5.7 is a game changer.
Ever wonder which apps drive the UK mobile market? GSMA and comScore have revealed that nearly 8.8 million UK mobile owners used an app that connected to the Internet during April 2011. Google Maps took top honors with 6.4 million unique visitors while Yahoo! Weather finished second with 3.6 million.
