Ex-LucasArts king Tim Schafer has managed to raise over $1 million for his company’s next project in 24 hours. Double Fine games has sourced all this cash from fans, via crowd-sourced funding website Kickstarter.

There’s a lot of buzz that this could change the gaming world for good, but you have to remember that Schafer’s got a billion fans around the world and is generally a gaming industry god.
