With hurricane Irene hitting the east coast this weekend, Samsung’s US launch of the Galaxy S II was pushed back until Tuesday. The delay opened the door for an even bigger announcement, the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G LTE. By way of a Korean press release, Samsung confirmed that 4G LTE support was coming to its Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 8.9. Even better, the Galaxy S II 4G LTE tops the original across the board: bigger display, faster processor, larger battery and even the world’s first LTE/WCDMA/GSM radio.
