Sky discount demanded by Ofcom

A Sky discount could be on the cards following a ruling from the media regulator Ofcom that Sky’s parent company BSkyB must reduce the price it charges rivals for Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2. That could mean firms such as Virgin Media and BT will be able to discount Sky Sports in their packages or even offer them free as part of TV and broadband bundles.

freeviewHumax has pledged to fix faulty Freeview boxes effected by the recent retune, as long as they’re within their two year warranty and can’t be brought back to life by their own telephone support staff.

Speaking to us after we reported faults which were still occurring a month after the retune, Humax said customers with boxes that aren’t working should contact them for guidance.
