A software upgrade is on its way for the Humax HD-FOX T2 set top box for Freeview HD, which will allow you to record live TV to a USB drive, turning your Humax Freeview HD box into a makeshift PVR. The Humax HD-FOX T2 update is due in early October, and also brings live pause and rewind, split recordings and schedule tracking so that you start your recordings on time.

Sky Sports News is set to disappear from Freeview and appear exclusively on pay TV services. If you’ve been used to getting your fix of Jeff Stelling’s perfect punning on Soccer Saturday for free you’ll now have to pay for the privilege or catch him on Countdown instead.
