In our walk through of the Toshiba Folio 100 today (video coming asap) we learned something new: you can replace the battery on the Toshiba Folio 100. The whole back of the Tosh Android tablet pops off, and you can flick the battery out and replace it with a new one. The Toshiba Folio 100 battery should be good for 500-1000 charges, and there’ll be new models available before then, but nonetheless, for those who want their gadgets to last, it’s nice to see a replaceable battery! The Toshiba Folio 100 we got our mitts on at IFA will be arriving in just a couple of weeks, Graeme Simons, the Business Manager for Toshiba Europe, has told Electricpig. The Toshiba Folio 100, a Froyo powered tablet, will be shipping in the second week of November. The Toshiba Folio 100 won’t break the bank either, and is priced at £330. For the moment it’s just Wi-fi and Bluetooth, but a 3G version will be arriving in Q1 2011, so sometime after new year, which will be £40-£50 more expensive.

Toshiba just whipped the covers off the Folio 100 Android tablet. Packed with Nvidia Tegra graphics chips, running Android 2.2 and boasting such niceties as an SD card slot, twin USB ports and HDMI output at full HD. Take that iPad!
