Just ten days after its launch in the UK, the Toshiba Folio 100 could be on its way out. After being on sale at PC World stores, the price has now been rocketed from £330 to £999.99. This isn’t a sky high price increase, it’s to stop the product being sold.

The Toshiba Folio 100 Flash update appears to be available in beta, although it’s two days late, and Tosh hasn’t been able to confirm the release of the Toshiba Folio 100 flash plugin to us, as of yet.
Last week we reported that the Toshiba Folio 100 didn’t actually come pre-loaded with Flash 10.1 support as had been advertised (although this information was apparently marked on the box), and now Electricpig has found out that the Toshiba Folio 100 Flash plugin download that’s been provided as a stop gap isn’t even available yet.
The Toshiba Folio 100 is available from this week, but (and it’s quite a big but) without Flash. We’ve been on the blower to Toshiba for an explanation, after one reader tipped us off that he’d bought a Toshiba Folio 100, only to find that there was no Flash.

The Toshiba Folio 100 10.1″ budget Froyo tablet is available from today in Dixons stores across the country, priced at £330. With more inputs than you can shake a stick at, and running Froyo, Toshiba is confident that it will be taking a slice of the tablet pie.
