Firefox 4 launched yesterday, and since going live it has already been downloaded 5 million time – giving it a share of just under 2 percent of the worldwide web browser market already. And things aren’t looking so rosy for Internet Explorer 9, which has been available for more than a week: according to web analytics firm StatCounter, IE9 has only nabbed 0.87 percent of the market.
Mozilla has adopted two real Firefox cubs (aka red panda cubs) which live at Knoxville Zoo in Tennessee. Mozilla has set up a dedicated website to track the progress of the Firefox cubs. You can watch them on webcam and follow them on Twitter. When Firefox 4 hits its next download target, Mozilla plans to reward Cub Number One and Cub Number Two with a jungle gym to play in. Quick!
