The Mozilla Foundation has issued an updated alpha release of ‘Fennec’ the codename for the mobile version of the Firefox web browser.

There was much rejoicing among Nokia owners when the Mozilla Foundation announced a Nokia-compatible mobile version of the Firefox web browser earlier this year. This unfortunately turned into gnashing of teeth and wailing upon the realisation that they only meant Nokia Internet Tablets, which run Maemo Linux rather than the Symbian S60 OS found in Nokia’s smartphones.
First there were the rumours, then the screenshots but today we can reveal the real deal, yes folks, Firefox Mobile Alpha, codenamed ‘Fennec’ is now available for download.
