Samsung UE46C8000 3D TV review

There’s no denying it: the Samsung UE46C8000 is a creature of astonishing beauty, seeming to hover in thin air like a slim silver blade, yet offering a window into a 3D world of rich textures, vibrant colours and infinite depth. Dance Central for Kinect review

Dance Central for Microsoft Kinect, from the folks that brought us Rock Band, is one music-based game you’ll be hearing lots more of that doesn’t force gamers to clasp plastic peripherals. Kinect Sports review Kinect Sports review

kinect-sports-8

It’s Microsoft’s turn to showcase what Kinect Sports, its landmark launch title for Microsoft Kinect is made of, now that we’re tiring of Wii Sports on the Nintendo Wii and Sports Champions for PlayStation Move. Kinect Sports is packed with a selection of real-life sports to participate in using nothing but your (we’re sure) athletically honed body as the controller. Read on, see our new MacBook Air review in full, and we’ll explain the hang-ups still hampering Apple’s new generation. Read more

Orange San Francisco review

The Orange San Francisco is one of the cheapest Android phones on the market. Android may be the seen as the biggest rival to Apple’s iPhone, but phones like this prove it’s a different kettle of piranhas altogether. An ancient battered first-gen iPhone will fetch more than a hundred quid on eBay, but the Orange San Francisco costs just a ton new. How can it possibly be any good? Minecraft review

A Minecraft review on Electricpig may seem a little strange. It is a resolutely independent game (essentially the product of one man’s imagination), is still in alpha and has the kind of blocky, retro graphics that will make the average Halo fan splutter with disgust. But for all its foibles and eccentricities, Minecraft is a phenomenon in both its single player and (slightly shaky) multiplayer guises.

Minecraft is one of those titles that become more than a game. It swallows up your time and sucks you into its world completely with the sheer force of its creativity. Available on PC, Mac and Linux for $9.95 (c.£12.70) now and $20 when the final version is released, it’s a truly impressive achievement. Read on to find out what all the fuss is about in our Minecraft review…
