Screaming “BACK OFF!” in the face of CO2, Toshiba today has announced at IFA 2008 that upcoming LCD televisions and notebook PCs will be earning serious Mother Nature brownie points. Eco’d up to the eyeballs, the new Toshiba 42XV515D comes loaded with smart new innards that enable it to reduce the amount of backlights used via an ‘advanced brightness control’ technique, meaning it uses less power, which will keep the bunnies hopping in the meadows for another season at least.
